CODE OF CONDUCT

INFEST does not tolerate harassment, abusive or discriminatory behaviour of any kind. this includes objectifying employees, patrons, guests and artists. Such behaviour is grounds for removal from our festival, venues and/or events.  Harassment, abusive or discriminatory behaviour may result in a future ban from our festivals, venues and events. If you witness harassment, abusive or discriminatory behaviour please ask any employee or festival representative to assist you in reporting any incidents. All Infest, ConcertWorks, venue employees & volunteers have the authority to remove offenders from our festival, venues & events. Any decision to remove an offender’s tickets, privileges or permanently ban an offender is at the discretion of our employees. The safety of survivors is always our primary consideration, and any decision to remove an offender’s tickets, privileges or permanently ban an offender will be made on a case-by-case basis in consultation with survivors when possible. In the event of harassment, abusive or discriminatory behaviour by a patron or guest at the Infest festival primary consideration will remain for the safety of survivors. Any decision to remove the offender’s tickets will be made by the Infest festival’s representative while working closely with the events venue management and/or ownership group.

Offensive attire, including (but not limited to) hate symbols, gang, criminal organizations, or hate group related attire/colours, or culturally appropriative attire, is not welcome at Infest festival & venues. Such attire may be grounds for removal from our venues and events and may result in a permanently ban from our venues and events.

If you have concerns about offensive attire, people report this attire to a festival representative. All incidents will be addressed on a case-by-case basis in consultation with our employees when appropriate. All Infest, ConcertWorks, venue employees & volunteers have the authority to remove offenders from our venues and events. Any decision to revoke tickets, remove privileges or permanently ban an offender is at the discretion of our management and ownership.

Attendees who have had their tickets revoked, privileges cancelled or who have been permanently banned will be urged to contact a local outreach program for counselling. As the safety and comfort of survivors is our primary concern, any steps taken with any local outreach program have no bearing on whether attendees who have had their tickets removed, privileges cancelled or who have been permanently banned will be permitted entrance to any venue, festival, or ConcertWorks events in the future.

Second chances may be offered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of our management and operating partners. The safety of survivors is always our primary consideration, and any decision to offer a second chance will be made in consultation with survivors when possible.

At Infest, we believe everyone has the right to feel safe & included. We are committed to providing each individual who attends Infest (be it as an patron, musician, employee, etc.) a welcoming experience regardless of gender, gender status, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, race, colour, ancestry, place of origin, religious beliefs, physical & mental abilities or disabilities, marital &/or family status & source of income. We believe that each individual has an important role in creating safer spaces. We believe every individual has dignity, respect & understands their rights & responsibilities.
